Jackie Kimbro
School Manager

Jackie was born in Honolulu but spent most of her childhood raised on military bases in Japan. She developed her passion for education early, deciding she wanted to be a choir teacher in the 7th grade. This led her to earn a BM in Music Education and Opera Performance from Chapman University before moving to Boston to become a service volunteer and then team manager with City Year, an AmeriCorps non-profit that provides educational services in under-resourced schools. Most recently, Jackie taught English and Choir at ‘Aiea High School while working toward and receiving her Secondary Education Teaching license from the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa. Her new role at SEEQS as Office Manager will enable her to continue to learn about different philosophies and modes of education and ultimately contribute to educational innovation in Hawai’i. Outside of SEEQS, Jackie serves as the Executive Director of the O’ahu Choral Society and makes as much time for music as possible!

"I work at SEEQS because I believe in education that empowers young people to ask important questions and search for ways to actively improve the world around them."
