Darren Yamabe
School Counselor

Darren was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, back when Honolulu Stadium was in McCully and theater movies costed about a dollar for youth. He has an Electrical Engineering degree from Santa Clara University and an MBA and Master’s degree in Education - Counseling and Guidance - both from UH Manoa. Darren coached JV level volleyball and his interests are traveling, being in nature, and swimming in the ocean. But the most fun he has now is playing with his two young children. Darren has worked for the DOE as a Counselor for 19 years and this is his fifth year at SEEQS. He really enjoys being around young teen energy and also being part of a caring and forward-thinking community of educators.
