SEEQS has chosen Canvas as our long term LMS.

Canvas is an online Learning Management System (LMS) that serves as the digital hub for SEEQS coursework, grades, and school communication. Through the Canvas Parent portal and mobile app, family members can monitor their student's progress, view upcoming project deadlines and assignments, keep up with course announcements, and directly message teachers—providing real-time visibility into their student's daily academic experience.

  • Fostering Real-World Collaboration & Transparency: Canvas serves as a digital bridge between school and home. By giving families visibility into real-time coursework, interdisciplinary projects, and Essential Questions of Sustainability (EQS) topics, it creates an interconnected community of students, educators, and parents actively involved in the learning process.

  • Supporting Student Ownership & Stewardship: The portal provides students and parents with clear tracking for project milestones, public exhibitions, and portfolio defenses. This visibility empowers students to take ownership of their own learning journey while developing critical skills—such as systemic thinking, time management, and accountability—necessary to become effective global citizens.

Getting started with Canvas as a Parent

To log in to the Canvas Parent portal and stay connected with your student’s learning at SEEQS (School for Examining Essential Questions of Sustainability), start by downloading the Canvas Parent app on your mobile device. The app is available on the iOS App Store and the Google Play Store.

Once the app is installed, open it and tap Find School, then search for SEEQS or enter our direct Canvas web address: https://seeqs.instructure.com/login/canvas

If you already have a parent account, log in using your email address and password. If you are creating a new account, tap Parent of a Canvas User? or Create Account, where you will be prompted to enter your details along with your student's unique Student Pairing Code. (Students can generate this pairing code directly from their student Canvas account settings, or you can request one from the school admin).

Alternatively, you can access the Canvas Parent portal from any web browser by visiting https://seeqs.instructure.com/login/canvas directly. From your desktop or mobile dashboard, you can view upcoming project deadlines, track course progress, view essential questions, and set up custom notifications to stay engaged with your student's work.
