SEEQS has chosen Canvas as our long term LMS.

Canvas is an online Learning Management System (LMS) that serves as the digital hub for SEEQS coursework, grades, and school communication. Through the Canvas Parent portal , family members can monitor their student's progress, view upcoming project deadlines and assignments, keep up with course announcements, and directly message teachers—providing real-time visibility into their student's daily academic experience.

Getting started with Canvas as a Parent

  1. Access via Web Browser - Visit https://seeqs.instructure.com/login/canvas directly from any web browser on your computer or phone

  2. Log In or Sign Up:

    Existing Users: Enter your email address and password to log in.

    New Users: Tap Parent of a Canvas User? or Create Account, then enter your details alongside your student's unique Student Pairing Code (generated in the student's Canvas settings or requested from school administration).

    Explore Your Dashboard: Once signed in, track project deadlines, view course progress, and set up custom notifications.

  • App Limitations: Instructure (the company behind Canvas) has not built the Learning Mastery Gradebook interface into the mobile apps yet. Mobile apps only display traditional assignment-based grades and scores. Please use the web interface to access grading information.

Canvas FAQ

  • Google does not share permissions with parent email accounts directly, so you will need to ask your student to view the full assignment. However, you can check assessment scores and teacher feedback anytime through your parent portal.

  • Please use the web app to view the Mastery Gradebook, it is a limitation of the mobile app currently.

  • Log into the Student Account.

    1. Click the Profile Picture in the Canvas menu, then select Settings.

    2. Scroll to the bottom and click Pair with Observer.

    3. Copy or write down the generated 6-digit pairing code to connect with the parent portal.
