Enrolling at SEEQS

NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR GRADES 6, 7, AND 8: Open enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year runs from January 15-March 15, 2021. Applications submitted during this time will be included in our admissions lottery. We will enroll a full class of 6th graders (approximately 60 students) and fill all spots that become available in grades 7 and 8.

Choosing a middle school is a big decision, but we are here to support you in this process. It all begins with our vision:
"SEEQers will be stewards of planet Earth and healthy, effective citizens of the world."

Every part of the SEEQS student experience drives toward this vision.

At SEEQS, all students:
  • Do meaningful work with real-world impacts, driven by their own passions and supported by invested educators
  • Develop the skills and tools to make valuable contributions in whatever they choose to pursue beyond SEEQS
  • Are valued as whole people and known members of our inclusive school community
Our NEW Campus: SEEQS is now located at 1728 Nuʻuanu Avenue (learn more here). This is an excellent location and will be our home through at least the end of the 2021-2022 school year. Our Facilities Committee is actively working to ensure that SEEQS always has a place to call home.

COVID-19 Response:
  • In March 2020, all Oahu public schools transitioned to distance learning. The SEEQS distance learning model carried over all the key components of our school while staying true to our vision and values.
  • In January 2021, we welcomed students to our new campus for blended in-person learning while also continuing to offer a distance learning option for students unable to join us in person.
  • For the 2021-2022 school year, we are hopeful that conditions will allow us to continue bringing back the many components of the in-person, student-driven school model that SEEQS is built on.
SEEQS consistently receives many more applications than we have spots available, so we use a public, double-blind lottery to ensure that all students have an equal opportunity to attend SEEQS. Click below to take the next steps!
