Ways To Give To SEEQS

Picture
SEEQS is grateful to the many volunteers and donors in our community who share our vision and make contributions to help SEEQS meet its mission. The SEEQS model relies on a participatory and supportive community. There are several ways to get more involved in our SEEQS community:

SEEQers Fund
Monetary gifts to the SEEQers Fund are lifelines for the school. Although SEEQS is a public, tuition-free school, as a charter school, it receives less funding from the State than other public schools. Allocations from the State provide only 65% of the school’s operating funds. The school relies on its generous community to contribute the remaining 35% which can vary from $200,000 or more, depending on the year. Your gift will help our SEEQers during this school year!

Your unrestricted gifts to this Fund allow the school to provide for the high-impact, project-based programming that a SEEQS’ education is built upon. These funds are distributed to different areas of the school to support EQS camps, classroom supplies, Chromebooks for each student, gardening boxes, teacher professional development and other items that make SEEQS an innovative school that is providing its students with the tools to become thoughtful 21st century problem-solvers.

We invite you to join our SEEQers Fund at one of our Giving Club levels:
  • Koholā (Humpback Whale)                 $25,000 and more
  • Palaoa (Sperm Whale)                         $10,000-$24,999
  • `Io (Hawaiian Hawk)                              $  5,000-$9,999
  • `Ilio Holo I Ka Uaua
         (Hawaiiian Monk Seal)                    $1,000-$4,999
  • Ope`ape`a (Hawaiian Hoary Bat)   $   500-$999

  • Nēnē (Hawaiian Goose)                       $   100-$249
  • Honu (Green Turtle)                               $       1-$99
The SEEQers Fund year begins on July 1 and ends on June 30. Giving  Clubs are determined by cumulative giving to the SEEQers Fund within each year.

SEEQS welcomes tribute gifts made in HONOR or in MEMORY of someone special such as a student, a teacher, a family member or a friend. If you provide contact information, the SEEQS Foundation will send a notification of your generosity (without gift amounts) to the individual (or his/her family) for whom the gift is made.

Contact your employer regarding the possibility of a matching gift which could double the impact of your contribution and increases your giving club level.

Gifts In-Kind
Donations of non-cash items are also welcome if they can help our teachers or improve our campus. Please contact the school at (808) 677-3377 to discuss the possibilities. SEEQS Foundation will provide donors with a receipt and description of in-kind gifts. Donors value their contributions for their tax purposes. Thank you.
Volunteering
SEEQS will work closely with community volunteers who are willing to share their time and expertise with students and faculty members. Opportunities for community involvement within the school day include our morning physical activity blocks, our afternoon Essential Questions of Sustainability blocks, and our lunch recess. Additionally, community members may help provide structured activities and/or supervision for students before- or after-school, when students are on campus but class is not in session. If you would like to partner with SEEQS in any of these ways, please contact us and tell us what you have in mind; we look forward to hearing from you. Mahalo!

The SEEQS Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, tax ID # 46-1396100. The Foundation operates exclusively for the benefit of SEEQS.
Gifts made to the SEEQS Foundation are fully deductible to the extent allowable by law.
