Student Experience Coordinator
The Student Experience Coordinator empowers SEEQS faculty to create deep learning experiences for SEEQers by serving as a vital connection between SEEQS and the broader community.

- Coordinates connections between community partners and school needs, including field trip logistics, guest speakers, and physical activity volunteers.
- Designs and maintains a cohesive student experience which ties together academic and social-emotional elements.
- Facilitates implementation and reflection around current advisory and EQS practices for continuous growth and improvement.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution
- Strong background in/understanding of progressive educational practices
- Minimum of two (2) years classroom teaching experience
- Experience teaching and/or coordinating EQS at SEEQS

- Strong strategic, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Skill in dealing with students and staff with diverse needs at various levels.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with students, school personnel, parents, vendors, peers and other stakeholders.

EQS:
- Serve as primary connector/ promoter/ liaison of projects with community partners, and the primary/ master ‘brain’ behind the EQS “curriculum” and supporting documents working to maintain the vision of the interdisciplinary EQS block, and at all times working closely with EQS teachers and Team Leads.
- Work closely with School Leadership and EQS Team Leads, maintain and promote the “meta thinking” behind the vision and purpose of EQS, including iterations to the project process, what to assess and how, and any changes to documentation that need to be made.
- Curate and maintain EQS-related curriculum documents and materials.
- Create and maintain structures and protocols to enable EQS teams to efficiently plan and prepare for EQS courses during daily EQS prep
- Plan and implement weekly whole-group EQS planning to ensure alignment with the EQS vision and model.
- Interface with students in all EQS courses to keep a pulse on student projects so that ideal community mentors can be set up as partners
- Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations, experts and guests, connecting EQS projects and courses with relevant community members
- Seek out and arrange field experiences for EQS camp, working with EQS teams
- Coordinate, cultivate, and curate Project Exhibitions, both internal and Public, working closely with EQS teacher teams
- Maintain a list of community members to invite to POLs and to serve as panelists for internal presentations; invite them to said events.
- Create and implement a system of recognizing and expressing gratitude to community members and guests who work with SEEQS students during EQS block.
Advisory and Community-Building:
- Work with the leadership team to design and implement activities, advisory plans, assemblies, and instructional strategies to bring the SEEQS mission and vision to life
- Develop and implement student orientation and onboarding
- Plan and carry out experiences for students that support their Social-Emotional Learning and the SEEQS Community as a whole.
- Coordinate logistics of community-building overnight “camp camp” experiences for students, in coordination with office and leadership.
- Organize and implement celebratory experience for 8th grade students at the end of the year.
Physical Activity:
- Work with volunteers, teachers, and students to create a menu of Physical Activity options each quarter for students and teachers, in service of the vision of “students and teachers learning and playing together” each morning.
- Solicit community volunteers on an ongoing basis to help lead physical activity.
- Develop a schedule of Physical Activity options each quarter based on interest and availability of community members, teachers, and students who can help implement, as well as available physical locations.
- Set up and carry out student choice of Physical Activity block for each quarter.
- Coordinate the physical locations and lead teachers for PA each quarter.
- Promote Physical Activity goal-setting and skill-building through set structures implemented across all Physical Activities
- Propose and distribute “sharing prompts” for Morning Meeting each morning of Physical Activity
- Create and implement a system of expressing gratitude to community members and guests who volunteer for PA.
Presentations of Learning:
- Work with coordinators of SLCs and Portfolio Defense to coordinate logistics and to create and promote consistency in the student reflection and presentation processes.
- Work closely with School Leadership and teachers, maintain and promote the “meta thinking” behind the vision and purpose of portfolios and reflection, including helping parents, teachers, and students stay focused on the growth and ownership.
- Work with School Manager and Office Assistant to schedule Student-Led Conferences for all students and their parents at the end of first and third quarters.
- Work with Portfolio Defense course teachers to coordinate the mentor program for each 8th grader to mentor them through the summative reflection process.
- Schedule Defenses for all 8th grade students at the end of the year.
- Maintain a list of community members to invite to serve as panelists for defenses; coordinate logistics for panelists.
- Create and implement a system of expressing gratitude to community members and guests who serve as volunteer panelists for defenses.
Student Ambassadors:
- Assist in coordinating and implementing school tours for visitors, including maintaining and selecting Student Ambassadors appropriate for student-led tours.
Lunch logistics and oversight:
- Ensure that lunch is safe and orderly for all students.
- Coordinate rotating schedule of lunch and recess monitors.
- Oversee Advisory lunch duties and student roles; refine as needed.
- Ensure lunch norms are clearly communicated and enforced on a daily basis.

The successful candidate will be hired as a 10-month employee, with additional compensated work days (5-15) during school breaks.
