SEEQS School Manager
We are seeking an energetic and efficient School Manager who is committed to being a key player in helping develop and implement the structures and systems that underlie a high-functioning school community.
The SEEQS' School Manager will be a critical player on the SEEQS team of founding faculty and staff members. He or she must be committed to making the SEEQS vision--the school culture, academic excellence, and interdisciplinary, community-based work--a reality.

School Manager Qualifications:
- Able to communicate positively, clearly, and effectively, verbally and in writing
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong time-management skills and ability to work well under pressure
- Strong organizational skills and habits
- Effective in multiple roles: working independently, as a partner, as part of a team, and as a team leader
- Strong computer skills: email, word processing, spreadsheets, web-based platforms, and more
- Strong mathematical skills
- Enjoys working with teenagers, families, and community members
- At least two years experience as an administrative assistant, office manager, or related role
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two-year or four-year degree in Business, Accounting, Management or related field
- Prior experience working in schools and/or non-profit organizations
- Knowledge of charter school management in Hawaii
- Prior experience in accounting
- Familiarity with online databases, reporting and communication systems, and social media.
- Experience in graphic arts or design
Major Responsibilities
- Lead the school's operations to support the school’s mission, goals, philosophy and vision.
- Work with the business manager to strategically plan and manage the school’s budget and implement standard accounting practices
- Manage the school's purchasing and payroll systems
- Manage all aspects of attendance and student records
- Answer phones and interact with student, parents, prospective families, and visitors in a friendly, professional and informative manner.
- Compose a wide variety of materials for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference and/or conveying information.
- Maintain website and calendar for school.
- Coordinate and track new-hire paperwork, TB Testing, fingerprinting, etc. for substitute teachers and part-time employees.
- Provide overall administrative support for the School Leader
- Assist in special projects such as preparation for Board Meetings, enrollment events, school exhibitions, and fundraising efforts
- Manage volunteers, interns or other part-time administrative support assisting with office projects or daily operations.
- Manage relationships with other schools and external partners.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Assist in developing and maintaining a strong school culture for students and adults; demonstrate knowledge of and support for SEEQS’s mission, standards, policies and procedures, and code of ethical behavior.

Hiring Process
- SEEQS will review submitted materials and schedule telephone interviews with select candidates.
- Candidates invited for a second interview with the SEEQS team will be asked to perform "in the moment" writing and other tasks. Candidates must provide three to five references from supervisors, colleagues, and/or employees: letters and/or contact information.
Applications will be accepted on a ongoing basis until the position is filled. Final candidates will be expected to complete an employment application and provide college or university transcripts. Hiring is contingent upon successful completion of employment verification, background check, and fingerprinting.
The successful candidate will be hired on a part-time basis (specific hours negotiable) beginning immediately. A full-time year-round contract will commence by July.
Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications and subject to the HGEA salary scale.
