Leading for Deeper Learning:
Facilitating Effective, Efficient, and Collaborative Faculty Work

Project-Based Teaching & Learning, Place-Based Learning, Design-Thinking... this is what our students need. But what do teachers need their leaders to provide for them in order for them to feel supported in doing this challenging work? They need to collaborate with each other. They need to be valued for their expertise. They need to be exposed to research and have the opportunity to digest it together. How can leaders provide the space and environment for this? In this presentation/workshop we'll explore structures for facilitating faculty meetings and faculty work time in ways that honor our teachers' time and expertise, and help them feel empowered to do the challenging but exciting work that our students need.
