Custodian
SEEQS is hiring a half-time (20 hours/week) custodian to support ongoing grounds keeping, janitorial, and building maintenance functions.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in grounds keeping, janitorial, and building maintenance functions
- Dependability, flexibility, and openness to feedback
- An ability work well under pressure, keep track of multiple tasks/deadlines, and successfully drive projects to completion
- Familiarity with workplace safety standards and regulations
- Commitment to learning about and implementing sustainable practices
- Commitment to learning from and contributing to our SEEQS community
- Prior experience working in schools preferred but not required
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain an educational and working environment that is clean, safe, functional, and presentable
- Perform cleaning and maintenance of school buildings and grounds, with tasks including, but not limited to: sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, empty waste baskets and trash receptacles, clean and disinfect all bathroom facilities, maintain lawns, shrubbery, grass, etc.
- Move and arrange furniture and fixtures for classes, meetings, and assemblies
- Make minor repairs to buildings, school facilities, and equipment
- Manage inventory and storage of custodial supplies and equipment

Hiring Process
The application window will close on December 21, 2018.
- SEEQS will review submitted materials and schedule first-round interviews with candidates.
- Select candidates will be invited to the SEEQS campus for an in-person interview and campus walk-through with the SEEQS team.
Final candidates will be expected to complete an employment application and hiring is contingent upon successful completion of employment verification, background check, and fingerprinting.
