Before- & After-School Care (BASC) Staff

The SEEQS Before- and After-School Care (BASC) Lead supports the establishment of a safe and nurturing before- and after-school program for SEEQS students.

The SEEQS BASC Staff member will be an individual who:

  • Exhibits strong organizational skills, habits, and attention to detail

Goals & Responsibilities

Supervision & Attendance: Each day 100% of students are accounted and guided through the program.
  • Serve as secondary point of contact for communications with the BASC program
  • Aid in preparation and distributribution of as-needed communication to families
  • Supervise BASC program students weekdays after school and Wednesday mornings
  • Support students in creating a safe & quiet atmosphere during designated time(s) for successful homework completion
  • Aid in maintaining accurate records of student attendance
Medical Concerns: All students are provided with basic first-aid services, as needed.
  • Respond to student injuries/illnesses and provide first aid
Program Support:
  • Work with BASC Coordinator to implement on-site enrichment programs during the after school and Wednesday morning time slots
  • Assist in coordinating schedules and enrollment of additional after-school programs with faculty (e.g. after-school tutoring, clubs, etc)

How to Apply

First, read SEEQS website thoroughly so you understand our mission, values, philosophy, and school schedule.

Then prepare and submit the following:
  1. Resume stating your qualifications and relevant experience (max 2 pgs)
  2. Statement of interest that answers the question “Why are you an excellent candidate for our school?”  Limit your response to no more than one page, single-spaced, 12 pt. font, with one inch margins.
    Submit these items via email, as attachments (in user-friendly formats), to employment@seeqs.org. Please include "BASC Staff position" in the subject line.​

Hiring Process

SEEQS will review submitted materials and schedule telephone interviews with select candidates.
Candidates invited for a second interview with the SEEQS team. Candidates must provide two to three references from supervisors, colleagues, and/or employees: letters and/or contact information. 

Applications will be accepted on a ongoing basis until the position is filled. Final candidates will be expected to complete an employment application and provide college or university transcripts, if applicable. Hiring is contingent upon successful completion of employment verification, background check, and fingerprinting.

Salary is range: $12.00 - $15.00 / hour, commensurate with experience. This position is part time (10-13 hrs/week).

Physical Demands of the Position

​Sit, stand, bend, stoop, reach above the shoulders, walk short distances, climb stairs, listen effectively, speak clearly, and visually observe staff and students on a routine basis.
